Good morning everyone! The Tarot cards for today are Death and the Magician. Death was the card we pulled on Friday for the lunar eclipse and the weekend. It shows up again today to remind us that transformation and change is not an instant process. So take time out to feel the effects of any recent changes and learn how to make them a part of your life.

With that being said, the Magician card shows that it is time to create new ideas for how you want to live your life as a result of these changes. You now have the tools to create magic. In astrology, the lunar eclipse is known to bring in the energy of change and transformation. Keep in mind that these changes are advancing you to greater  heights and more happiness in your life. The goal is to embrace and accept change, and to realize how change can greatly benefit you.

Hi, all! The Tarot card for today is the Knight of Swords. The suit of Swords represents mental activity and communication. So you may have lots of ideas in your head that you want communicate to the world. However, it just so happens that today is the beginning of a Mercury retrograde, which in astrology is associated with conflicts, mix-ups, and arguments, among other things. So be careful with your words. It’s not what you say but how you say it. You could be like the character shown on the Knight of Swords card, rushing into a situation with your sword drawn. Instead, think about who you are talking to and how your want to represent yourself.

Today’s tarot card is Strength. Things in your life may feel (or even be) a little unsettled right now, especially with the energy of Friday’s lunar eclipse swirling around. Even in the larger world around us, we have political controversies to try to understand and extreme heatwaves gripping several parts of the world, among other crazy things. With all of this going on, the Strength card is reminding us to hold steady. Calm your impulses of anger, fear, and aggression and try to understand where these feelings are coming from. Instead of reacting blindly, embrace your own humanity. You don’t have to conform to any ideal of “perfection.” You are beautiful as you are. If there are things you would like to change about yourself, you can do so with self love, self care, and compassion for self. And whatever circumstances you are in, you can deal with them mindfully in a way that benefits your greatest good.

The Tarot card for today is the Eight of Cups. Look at the full moon in this card from the Rider-Waite-Coleman Smith deck shown here. We are coming up on a full moon at the end of this week. With the Eight of Cups (and as is true of full moons in general), it is time to see where you have done all you can do, then to let go of what does not serve you any more. Sometimes we stay in situations out of habit even though they don’t give us the satisfaction they once did. During these times, you must determine if you are truly happy or if you are becoming stagnant. The full moon on the 27th is also a total lunar eclipse, which could mean that changes you need to make in your life could get an extra push from fate — unless you can make those changes yourself. Either way, when it is all said and done, these changes will be to your benefit.

Hi, everyone! Today’s Tarot card is the Wheel of Fortune. This is a fitting card considering there is a lunar eclipse coming up on the 27th. Like the eclipse, the Wheel of Fortune represents a change that seems to be a twist of fate outside of your control. This card often represents a change for the better after having had some difficulty. But it could also signal a setback that will turn around for the better again in time. The lesson of this card is that there will always ups and downs in life. The key is to hang on for the ride and try to hold as steady as you can. When things are going your way, be thankful but not arrogant. And when life gives you a challenge, don’t give up the fight.

The Tarot card for today is Temperance. This card continues the theme for this week of finding balance in life. With Temperance, the key is to balance your energy so that you can find the clear path to  harmony and happiness.  This can be achieved in many ways:

  • Evaluate your relationships and make sure there is a fair amount of give and take on all sides.
  • Meditate, do yoga, and find other ways to balance your chakras.
  • Have realistic expectations for yourself and others.
  • Don’t judge yourself or others too harshly.
  • Call on your Higher Self, spirit guides, angels, Universal energy, deity — whatever higher power you draw on to help you get your bearings.

The Tarot card for today is the Queen of Swords. Yesterday, the message was to tap into our intuition, which many people think is done by only using emotions. However, controlling the emotions is also a part of being intuitive. The Queen of Swords guards against being overly emotional through clear thinking, clear communication. and being fair and balanced. These traits often are considered to be masculine in nature. But whether you are a man or woman, be compassionate without letting emotion overrule you while at the same time not overthinking things.

Traditional  meanings of the Queen of Swords card is that it represents a women with an unpleasant personality, a “bitch,” so to speak. But I totally disagree. I think this outdated interpretation is sexist. Being logical, objective, and self composed is not limited to male or female. Each and every one of us has feminine and masculine traits that we should develop to the fullest. Of all the Queens in the Tarot, the Queen of Swords shows us that women and men are intellectual equals.
