The Five of Wands is a card that can play out in different ways based on your perspective. (This image is from the Frida Kahlo Tarot.) Generally, it’s about competition, with energy coming at you from coworkers, family members, or those you socialize with. Everyone wants to be on top, show their best side, and hide their weaknesses. Sometimes the behavior is aggressive. People push each other out of the way so that they can be first in line.
One the one hand, you may want to stay ahead of the competition—which means that you have to constantly be aware of what others are doing. The other extreme is to lay back and not play the game. You may not want to get hurt if others play too rough or you may decide that it’s not worth the trouble.
Whichever way you approach the competition today, be who you need to be in the moment. If you feel you need to push back and show your strength, then do that. If you feel that you need to step away from the competition, that’s okay, too.
A third option is to play the game according to your own rules. You are worthy of recognition regardless of anything. All you have to do is be yourself.
Have a wonderful day.
