Hi, all! Our card for today is the 6 of Hearts (Cups). In the deck I’m using today, the Illuminated Tarot, this card is also associated with the Lovers card. There’s a lot to unpack here.
Going with the traditional meaning of the 6 of Hearts, memories of the past may be haunting you. When we think about out past, we often remember how a situation made us feel.
Sometimes we get caught up in difficult emotions, such as shame, regret, and anger. Depending on your personality, you may express these emotions outwardly and lash out at others. Or else you may direct these feelings inward in the form of sadness and negative self talk (that’s my “go to”).
Consider that any “negativity” you may be feeling is showing you the areas in your life that need your attention. Start with compassion and understanding, especially for yourself. Recognize the difference between yourself then and who you are now. Forgiveness may be in order. If you want, you can extend this healing toward how you feel about other people.
As for the Lovers aspect, it is all about your commitments. The deep emotions you feel reflect what you care about the most. Have you lost sight of your goals and the promises you made to yourself years ago?
