In this version of the Five of Cups from the Deviant Moon Tarot, we see a couple having a disagreement. One is yelling at the other because three of the cups have spilled. The person being yelled at is not angry, but rather seems amused and just covers up their ears. The message is that even though there is an argument, there is still love between them, represented by the two cups that remain standing.
Life is fluid. It is never all or nothing. Liquid doesn’t disappear, it evaporates. It becomes a cloud and rain. It gets soaked into the ground.
Sometimes we don’t agree with each other. That doesn’t mean that one person is right and one person is wrong. They can both be right in their own way because each one is speaking from their own perspective. That can be a hard concept to accept, especially if we are completely rooted in our own way of seeing things. But maybe it’s a matter of allowing the other opinion to exist without you having to change your opinion or condemn the other.
People change their minds all the time. Cups can be refilled. If you have experienced a loss, you can rebuild again with what you have remaining.
