The new moon in Aries is exact on March 29 at 6:58 a.m. eastern time. It’s a partial solar eclipse that will be visible in many countries, including the U.S. and Canada. Worldwide, from the first to last location to see it, the eclipse will start at 4:50 a.m. eastern, will reach its maximum at 6:47, and end at 8:43.
New moons are about new beginnings, and as I’ve said many times before, solar eclipses are new moons on steroids! This new moon in the Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, is considered an eclipse because it is very close to the north node in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac. New beginnings triggered by this new moon/solar eclipse will come about as a result of endings, in many cases.
Keep in mind that Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, will enter the sign of Aries a day after the new moon. This is a big deal as Neptune only changes signs about every 14 years and it is now starting a brand new cycle around the zodiac. It’s as if Neptune is bridging the gap between the past and the present.
This new moon in Aries is surrounded by a ton of Pisces energy in the north node, Mercury retrograde, Venus retrograde, and Saturn. To work with the energies, it may help you to embody Pisces traits as well as Aries traits.
When it comes to any situation you have been dealing with since the lunar eclipse a couple of weeks ago, this Aries new moon energy will motivate you to resolve problems and move forward with fresh new ideas. With the strong Pisces influence, be flexible enough to go with the flow and be gentle with yourself to soften any tendency for aggression and impulsiveness.
There’s no need to rush. The astrological year is still young!
