The new moon in Libra is exact on October 10 at 11:50 a.m. eastern. New moons are ideal for new beginnings. But perhaps for this new moon cycle, your energy will be best spent trying for a do-over—a new new beginning, of sorts.
Keep in mind that Venus, Libra’s ruling planet, recently went retrograde in the sign of Scorpio. This retrograde is an opportunity to dive deep into relationships and reevaluate your commitments. While Venus in Scorpio is intensely emotional, the new moon in the air sign of Libra asks you to be objective and logical. And though the Scorpio energy can be secretive and brooding, Libra is a cardinal sign that encourages you to be proactive and take the actions needed to resolve problems. As such, this new moon cycle could very well help smooth out the rough edges of the Venus retrograde.
Speaking of retrogrades, we are currently in the pre-shadow phase of the Mercury retrograde, also in the sign of Scorpio, that begins on October 24. Here, lean on the Libra energy to stay on track with relationships through clear communication.

Libra has a reputation for seeking harmony and compromise—and sometimes giving themselves the short end of the stick in order to make others happy. But think about the Justice card in tarot, which is associated with the zodiac sign of Libra. Justice represents getting the positive outcomes one truly deserves.
To work with the energies of this new moon cycle, make sure that fairness and balance applies to all parties involved—including yourself. Speak up so that your needs are known. And consider that it may be better to walk away from a deal if your needs are not met instead of going along with something you are not happy with for the sake of getting along.
