One of the things I love about this amazing deck, the Illuminated Tarot, is that the deck creator, Caitlin Keegan, suggests alternate ways to interpret the cards.
With the King of Heart (Cups), the key phrase she provides is “sensitivity and creativity channeled into professional success.” Professionalism is not often associated with the King of Hearts, but it makes total sense to me.
A really good skill to have in the workplace is knowing how to regulate your emotions, from entry level to boardroom. For instance, it helps to be brave when first learning a job, such as asking questions when you need help instead of being embarrassed, as well as to control your temper when you are frustrated. And it’s nice to be a compassionate supervisor who maintains healthy boundaries and comes up with creative solutions to problems.
Keep in mind that it’s not about playing to the crowd to get acceptance. It’s just that the King of Hearts can express themselves honestly without tearing themselves or others down.
