Within reason and within your budget, spend the money you need to on yourself—and also think about giving what you can to others, whether it’s to family or friends, an extra dollar donation at the grocery store checkout, or some money that you hand to the person on the street who is asking for charity. Sometimes it is the ebb and flow of exchange that allows money to flow back to you.
