Happy Memorial Day for those of you in the U.S. This is a day we remember those who have lost their life due to war.  It traditionally has been marketed as the “first day of summer” when it comes to sales and the opening of summer activities. With social distancing, maybe there will be fewer cookouts and parades, fewer stores open for  sales. Contrasts. Juggling two ideas at once. This is the theme  of the Two of Coins. For you, maybe this day is about juggling the ordinary things, like finances or work/life balance.

You may have discovered that your life has improved in some  way, either by figuring out what is important in life or in terms of how you interact with family and friends. Now that the pace has slowed down, you can now see where the imbalances are in your life and how you can correct them.

The Tarot cards for today, Saturday, and Sunday are Temperance (Angel of Peace) and the Two of Pentacles (Juggling). To be sure, this weekend is all about striking a balance. In particular, take a look at finances, and take a look at how you balance your work life versus your free time. This might be a good time to tweak your budget. Make sure that you get the most out of your dollar. Are you spending too much on an item or service when you can get the same thing or better at a cheaper price? Or, do you need to spend a few dollars more in order to get better quality and lasting value?

In addition, don’t forget to make time in you life to enjoy your hard earned money. By this,  I mean take care of yourself, rest, do fun activities, and spend time with the people you like to be around. It is all too easy to get stuck in a routine only to find out that some of the things that make life worthwhile are being neglected.
